Yet another for Sir Richard Branson's resort, in Morocco ...

Happy Thursday,
Sir Richard Branson's resort, Kasbah Tamadot, in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains has added yet another tent to their collection. The newest addition is a beautiful wood pole frame Shawu Tent. The installation and set up was completed this past weekend. Now its on to the interior decorating and applying the finishing touches so the tent is ready to host guests.
If you are considering a wood pole framed tent there are a few thoughts to ponder. First of all ascetically wood poles are beautiful. The ceiling liner may also be removed to allow the natural look of the wood frame to be visible and appreciated. With a wood pole framed tent, the canvas is supplied in panels that need to be fitted and trimmed to size on-site and then stapled to the frame. Making the tent more of a permanent structure. Being that if one wants to move the tent for any reason, all the canvas components will be damaged and need to be replaced whereas with a steel frame tent the canvas components can be taken down without causing damage to the fabric. Setting up a wood pole frame tent is also more time consuming than that of a steel frame and does require a skilled carpenter who knows how to work with wood pole structures. If you do like the look of the wood poles yet still want the ability to take down your tent relatively easily you may want to consider going with vertical wood pole beams supporting a steel roof frame.
Whether you choose the steel legs or the wooden poles 'The world is our canvas' and raising the bar in what is possible, is our specialty.
